We're in a 6-bed dorm at the mo', and at about 8.30am this morning about 4 alarms went off - obviously for the others to get up and go to work, but nobody did... only me and Nikki. We went and had some of the free breakfast and then went into town. We had no choice today... Niks had to pay a visit to the dentist! After wandering around for ages, looking in the windows of shops, we found a Tourist Information and they told us where we could find the dentist. Instead of going straight there, I took Nikki for a milkshake. Once we were finished we went over. The other day one of Nikki's back teeth just snapped when she ran her tongue across it. The dentist said that she would be able to have a filling - so that's what she did. Nikki, who is normally terrified of the dentist, was VERY brave and didn't moan once - plus the dentist did an amazing job (I got to watch the whole thing). In all, the emergency surgery cost us about $245... so i've told Nikki that's all she's allowed for Christmas this year!
This afternoon we came back to the hostel and, after trying to figure out the best way to pick up our darling Sister from the airport, spent some time sat by the pool in the sunshine. We've looked at the 5-day forecast and it's predicted to be about 38° on Christmas Day... yippee! It is quite funny, we were walking around Woolworths and they're blasting out songs on the speakers... one's like 'Let It Snow' and then we walk outside into the blinding sunshine! Tonight we had some food and then went out to the pub for a drink - the perfect way to round of another day of doing nothing!
Emma's coming in... TWO days!
