Once we were up and had eaten as much of the free breakfast we could, we went out for a look around the shops. We were meeting up with the Beave' today, and wanted to get him something for Christmas - because he's gonna be in Sydney on his own, so Father Christmas might not find him... just to be on the safe side!We got what we wanted at the shops and then came back to our hostel, where we had some macaroni & cheese with fried potatoes for our lunch - while we waited for him to arrive. In typical Beave' fashion, he was running late. When he finally arrived, we did a little catching up and then went out into town for 'coffee and a cake'. Ever since we arrived in Sydney we've been meaning to go into this coffee shop we seen called Cupcakes... today was the day. We all had hot chocolates and me and the Beave' had honeycomb cupcakes, whereas Nikki had a chocolate brownie one - they were all lush!
This evening, once the Beave' had gone, me and Nikki got ready and went out on a mini-pub crawl. First though, we went off to the food court and got some Chinese food... again! The first pub we went to was down on George Street and was called Jacksons on George. Next we walked down to the Rocks (down by Circular Quay) and went in one called The Orient Hotel, which was really nice - and when we left there were amazing views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House, which were both lit up. We finished our pub crawl down in Darling Harbour in a place called Pontoon. In all we had 3 drinks and a Chinese each - and yet only spent $5 between us... the drinks were all free because of this voucher book we were given... bargain!
$5... that's our kind of night out!
