Monday 17th December 2007

I came to bed at about 3am this morning because, after watching the Liverpool vs Man Utd game, I watched the Arsenal vs Chelsea match too... which was much better! Nikki woke up at about 8am this morning - but she left me in bed and I eventually got up at about 10.30am. We were planning on hiring bikes today and cycling to the beach - but it looked a bit overcast, so we gave it a miss. Instead we got ready and then walked into town to see the things we didn't see on Saturday.

The centre is quite nice - it's very similar to Port Douglas in Queensland, with nice shops and cafés. We had a look the shops and the walked down to the Margaret River. Afterwards, when we were walking back up through the shops we stopped and went in the Old Lolly Shop and then the Fudge Factory (it's all about the sweets).

This evening, when we were back at the hostel, a load of the guys arranged a 5-a-side footie match on the pitch outside the hostel. I could tell our team wasn't expected to do very well - because as soon as we got there one team just automatically just walked to one side and started doing flicks and tricks. The rest of us just sort of hung around at the other end until the game kicked off. I don't think things went quite how the others planned - because our team ended up winning 4-2, with me scoring 2 goals! One was a lob from my own half and the other a volley that gave the keeper no chance... rock on!

Emma's coming in... FOUR days!
