Sunday 19th August 2007

The weather last night was really bad - I think it rained all night and it was still pretty miserable this morning - but we didn't mind, this was the first rain we'd had since arriving in Australia (and we don't want the whole place drying out). We got ready and then went and had some muesli for our breakfast (we were out of eggs, sausages and beans - boooo), then we went to use the internet again (hey, it's free).

When we left Travel Bugs it was still raining, so we walked along to the cinema and we'd seen nearly all the films that were showing - all except Die Hard 4.0 and some other rubbish, so there was no way I was missing out again. We got ourselves milkshakes and found our seats (the cinema was packed - everyone else obviously had the same idea), we then sat and ate some lovely pies we'd bought from the Noosa Pie shop.

Die Hard 4.0 rocks! When the film had finished and my urge to save the world had passed, we came back to the hostel and chilled out in our room. I think Nikki was tired because she had a little snooze and I did some reading. Then she woke up and we watched a couple of episodes of LOST. Afterwards we had some pasta & pesto for our tea.

Tonight, it was karaoke night in our hostel bar - so we went along. We had a really good time, watching everyone sing. When the singing had finished they put some music on and, after a couple of jugs, we got up to have a little dance - to 'Cotton Eye Joe' (rock on).

Cotton Eye Joe - a classic!
