Finally, today has arrived - the day we set off on our World Tour!
We started the day as we'll probably go on - by sleeping through the alarm and almost missing our taxi to the airport... the taxi driver had to wake us by banging on the door!
The flight lasted 9 hours - it was bloody boiling, and Nikki moaned how she was 'going to pass-out' the whole way (no change there then!)
When we arrived in Miami, we got a Super Shuttle from the airport to the hotel and the driver was an absolute maniac. For some reason he refused to use his indicators!
Our hotel is cool. It's a 1950's building, which really stands out amongst the high-risers - its better though, as tall buildings cast shadows on the beach! Its only basic - but clean, and our room (Room 209) is 105 steps to the beach FACT!
We went for a quick walk, and bought some supplies... cereal, milk etc, before having a paddle in the sea and then coming to bed.
I've decided, traveling is fun!

I hope you are well - glad to hear you got there okay.
so it was hot in the plane huh - you should have taken that sweater that phil knitted for you - i know its sentimental but your a traveller now - like the littlest hobo - remember the dog who was always wandering around america- i would sing the theme tune - like we used to do in bristol but it only makes me cry.
Anyway have fun - oh and let Nikki know im in room 209

obviously reading your blog doesn't make me jealous one bit - bet when you read mine it will make you wish you were back home!!
Started work at 8.40am, desk was pretty much the same, phone calls all day - moaning customers...had tuna pasta for lunch. Trying to decide what to have for tea about now - its 4.20pm... England are playing rubbish in the cricket, oh but I am going to tesco tonight, that will brighten the day up!!!
Guess what tomorrow brings - same shit, different day!!!
